We are actively recruiting an Assistant Manager who will help us uphold the best customer experience anywhere in Nebraska. This position is part- time or full-time professional management position for an individual with skills based in business operations, customer service, and employee management in a fast-paced environment. The Assistant Manager is an integral member of our management team and is directly responsible for all aspects of our product quality and customer service.  Responsibilities:
  • Provide vision, leadership, and direction to all within the business.
  • Foster, grow, and ensure an authentic focus on both the "What" and the "Why" we do what we do at Swimtastic Omaha.
  • Manage top line growth strategies for: customer loyalty via customer retention strategies and staff deployment, high rates of customer engagement and conversion.
  • Contribute, improve, and share accountability for relevant print collateral, website, and social media content for prospect consideration on the customer journey.
  • Support business awareness building efforts via marketing events and available resources and metrics
  • Develop/ensure a clear understanding of swim lesson quality standards and the profile of a high performing instructor.
  • Recruiting, staffing, and training team members for highly satisfying swimmer and customer experiences.
  • Effectively communicating benchmark productivity goals, objectives, and role expectations to the workforce along with regular evaluations; coaching, counseling, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
  • Responding to family/student registrations and service inquiries in a manner that supports the vision and mission of the business.
  • Implementation of effective programs/processes for class scheduling that balance delivery of high-quality lessons/experiences with control of manpower costs through consistently high instructor utilization.
  • Effectively utilize all available resources, tools, and metrics to assist in managing the business.
  • Through attention to detail in maintaining the accuracy, security, and integrity of all family/student records including personal, financial, and class information.
  • Develop, grow, and maintain necessary knowledge base to safely and effectively manage a commercial pool/aquatics operation.
  • Develop and manage objectives in the areas of revenue growth, margin, cost, and profitability.
 
Required knowledge, skills and abilities:
  • Exceptional customer service, communication, and organizational skills
  • Leadership skills and ability to motivate, supervise, and develop staff.
  • Strong communication skills, both interpersonal and on the telephone
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Schedule flexibility with ability to work when the business demands in a mix of weekdays and weekends.
  • Strong computer skills with experience using spreadsheets and word processing software.
  • A can-do attitude with the ability to work in a fast-paced, customer driven business.
Preferred knowledge skills and abilities:
  • Previous experience with aquatics management
  • Previous experience with swim instruction
  • Experience working with children and young families.
  • Knowledge of swimming pool maintenance & operation (Certified Pool Operator or Aquatics Facility Operator)
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Certifications: Current Red Cross Lifeguard or equivalent, WSI - Water Safety Instructor certification, CPR-PR/AED, First Aid for Adult, Child certification, and/or Lifeguard and Lifeguard Instructor certified

Compensation: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
